Guiseley Sounds is a one-day, professionally managed community music event taking place at Nethermoor Park.

Gates open at 1:00pm, the main stage begins at 2:00pm, and the event finishes at 10:00pm.

The event licence allows for up to 4,000 people, however this is a maximum capacity, not a target. Based on current sales and projections, attendance is expected to be closer to 2,500 on the day.

The festival has been carefully designed to attract a respectful, community-minded audience. Ticket sales to date show the majority of attendees are local, which is exactly what the event was created for. The lineup, event timings, and operational planning all reflect this ethos.

We fully understand concerns around traffic and parking. Encouraging public transport is a priority, and extensive traffic management, stewarding, and highways support has been arranged in line with council requirements. These measures are funded directly by the event organiser and exceed what is typically in place for many other local events.

This is a fully licensed, stewarded, and professionally staffed event, with security, crowd management, and welfare provision well above standard local event levels. Alcohol sales and behaviour will be strictly managed in accordance with the licence.

The organiser is also a local resident, and shares the same concerns around traffic, parking, and disruption. This is a single-day event, once per year, and significant effort has been made to minimise impact on neighbours.

Information has been shared via resident letters and the event website, and we continue to encourage open, constructive engagement. Local residents are warmly invited to attend and support a positive community event built around respect for the area and its neighbours.
